Clients ~Fitch
The demanding & high-profile work at Fitch taught me to work with a sense of urgency & at the highest level of excellence possible. I’ve worked hard to take these attributes over to the client side. It was also valuable for the project diversity & how it stretched my thinking about design & experiences as I moved from concept car interfaces to pacemaker software.
Nissan concept car UI for tokyo auto show, & digital hvac
I designed a concept car interface for the Nissan Kino which was shown at the 2002 Tokyo Auto Show. I was also on a team which designed the digital HVAC/Multimedia displays & controls for the 2005 production Murano.
The Kino dashboard in closed & open mode. It’s super wide aspect ratio was very eye-catching.
hp print online
Our goal was to fulfill HP’s ink strategy by designing & launching an online create & print site where consumers could make one of a number of print projects via their home computers & receive them in the mail. We designed the interface for the site which won the Web Market Award, Standard of Excellence Award 2000.
These were the early days of the web before many “build-your-own” sites existed. Helping people design their own gift box before web 3D existed was a challenge, but we created a simple, effective solution.
goodrich aerospace personal flight system
We designed a general aviation, multi-function cockpit display which was accepted by BFGoodrich as their future for general aviation. We went from generative research to paper prototypes to working prototypes in mocked-up cockpits which we tested with pilots to a final, working prototype which was used in a test plane. The final deliverable was a physical & digital prototype which entailed an innovative joystick, physical inputs around two displays, & then the software experience across the two different displays.
We created working prototype with an innovative input controller plus robust functional displays tested & iterated with pilots.
Guidant pacemaker software concept
My task was to create a conceptual ecosystem & remote monitoring solution for pace-makers where doctors/hospitals could remotely monitor real-time performance. The individual is able to monitor their own health with doctors & nurses able to adjust remotely when needed. I led the interaction design for this program. The deliverable was an interactive prototype which I created.
This was the physician tool for remotely adjusting heart pace-maker thresholds & performance.
liberty mutual .com redesign
I worked on the information architecture, built the master site map, built an interactive skeletal, & led the digital design of all the screens for their rebranded corporate site. This included user testing, working closely with the identity designer, & working with their software team for final development. It went from their dated institutional green to a vibrant palette on large areas of white with a focus on photography of everyday people.
I designed the solution & created the final specs for Liberty Mutual’s corporate site redesign. It was a really nice, fresh departure from their prior lime green, & required us to show that while it looked new & different it was very much on brand.
